Cancellation Policy
Thank you for considering a private chartered tour with JAPAN SACRED DRIVES. Because our service secures a special vehicle and an exclusive driver for each customer for the entire day to provide a completely private space, we have established the following cancellation policy. Please be sure to read it carefully before making a reservation.
1. Cancellation Fees
If you wish to cancel your reservation or change the date, please contact us as soon as possible via email or our inquiry form. Based on Japan Standard Time (JST), the following cancellation fees will apply depending on the date and time we receive your notice.
- Up to 7 days before the tour date: Free (100% of the reservation fee will be refunded)
- 6 to 3 days before the tour date: 50% of the reservation fee
- 2 days before to the day of the tour: 100% of the reservation fee
- No-Show without notice: 100% of the reservation fee
2. Refund Procedures
For cancellations made during the fee-free period, or for the refund of the balance after deducting the cancellation fee, refunds will be processed through PayPal, which was used at the time of reservation. Please note that the number of days it takes for the refund to be reflected in your account after processing varies depending on your credit card company and payment institution.
[Important] Disclaimer regarding Exchange Rates and Payment Fees
Refunds will be processed in USD. Please note that any loss due to exchange rate fluctuations or refund fees charged by PayPal or your credit card company shall be borne by the customer.
3. Exceptions (Cancellation due to Force Majeure)
Only in cases where our service determines that it is impossible to safely operate the tour due to the following reasons, we will provide a full refund without any fees, or accommodate a change to another date free of charge.
- Paralysis of transportation networks due to severe natural disasters such as typhoons and earthquakes.
- Other cases where the operation of the chartered vehicle becomes physically impossible due to unexpected force majeure.
4. Shortening or Early Termination of the Tour Route
Our service is provided at a flat rate of "$1,000 USD for a 1-day (10 hours) complete private charter". Please note that even if you finish the tour earlier than planned or shorten the route due to your mood or personal convenience on the day, we cannot refund the difference.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This cancellation policy and the use of our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Osaka District Court in the first instance.
